Rammstein's American Germania
Since it should be common knowledge at this point that Rammstein's (potential) US shows will not be carbon copies of those that are done elsewhere, I have come up with a few ideas as to what these 'other' shows could be like.
I am envisioning Rammstein's collective energy and music in combination with a dark, gothy, spooky visual backdrop. Think it could work? Here are a few more details...
Till would emerge from a cloud of thick smoke. decked out in a long, medieval-style cloak that stretches down past his knees. In one hand he holds a saber, or a sword of some kind; a glowing, crystal amulet hangs from his neck, and his hair is frizzed out in an expression of wonton desire (wigs/ hair extensions also possible ;)). Richard would come out as a Merlin; the others similarly could exhibit apparel worn by old-world wizards and sages (Flake would be perfect for this!). In the background could be spiderwebs, a crooked tree with bare branches and a portrait ( maybe sketched by a talented fan?) of a castle perched atop a high hill.
Suddenly the crowd is treated to the familiar opening sounds of 'Heirate Mich', as blue and purple lights flash all around from somewhere behind. This would then be followed by other notable gems from the earlier period: Weisses Fleisch, Laichzeit, Sehnsucht, Engel. The signature song 'Rammstein' would probably best be suited toward the end of the set, with something (?) in place of the burning jacket and that thing Till uses to shoot fire (from the Volkerball shows). And of course, this dream theater production would feature prominently a few selected numbers from the upcoming LP.
'Rammstein in Amerika' could be a kind of dreamlike, trancy, Germanically-oriented spookfest... using different props and what not, but still quite exciting overall.
Something to think about, anyway - a lot of things are possible with this!
P.S.: I love Halloween, can't you tell? ;)
