Acoustic Jim in the final two of the Peoples Music Awards!

The Peoples Music Awards is a new website where artists bands and producers can upload there music to be heard and voted for by the public. The 2009 event began several months back and is now in the final stages. Each of the artists categories are down to the final two.

Acoustic Jim is a singer-songwriter from Leeds who has made it through to the final two in the category "Best Male Solo Artist." This is all the more impressive as Jim only started playing live for the first time 2 years ago when coerced by a friend.

His entry for the competition was Sky Fires, a haunting and somewhat ethereal track about Autumn, painting a vivid picture of the season. Jim uses painting metaphors and textural descriptions to create colourful, autumnal imagery. The track is taken from Jim’s debut EP Life Two Point Oh which is available from the Acoustic Jim website.
