Rammstein's (Naughty?) New Video: A Preliminary Dissection

1

...Of all the new titles (11) from Rammstein's forthcoming new album, I would have imagined that the track 'Pussy' would rank among the last of their picks to shoot a video for. The title alone suggests pulling from the mind's more primitive archives; and yet according to recent reports, 'Pussy' is indeed slated to become the band's first video release.
And boy, is THIS flapjack going to sizzle in a greased-up hot pan...
When we combine this group's flighty, freakish, nightmarish video concept history with the song title 'Pussy', we get... I'm not quite sure how to put this, a 'flaming vagina', perhaps. In any case, I am now psychologically bracing myself for this upcoming new video. I am fully expecting a bit of 'an assault on the eyes' from it, because this is typically what Rammstein videos tend to do (at least the first time they are viewed).
We do not yet know how the new video will turn out... but we DO know some things beforehand, which can offer the curious-minded a few clues as to what to look for (and at least half-expect) upon its completion.
So, as of right now, this is what we do know:
-that the same director from the highly controversial 'Mann Gegen Mann' will be involved in this video as well;
-that there will likely be a few (hair-raising) sex shots featuring scantily-clad, drop-dead gorgeous starlets;
-that, just from the title, this new video will receive its share of pooh-poohs from a certain percentage of the fan base;
-that this will probably be geared more toward male viewers while causing female viewers to squirm in distaste, just as 'Mann Gegen Mann' effectively provoked the opposite response;
-that the members of Rammstein do not go into making videos with their eyes closed (obviously!), and so therefore they must be expecting some sparks to fly upon this video's release;
-that, after a four-year hiatus, a major planned tour in the works and a lot of blood, sweat and tears poured into this upcoming new album, Rammstein isn't looking to settle this time out. This time they are looking to WIN.
So what will the new video be like?
All I can conclude with is, that Rammstein most likely will return to the music scene the same way they always have: One hand on a machete, the other on their crotch and a stare that tells us to either join them or get the hell out of their way.
Stay tuned, Rammies - and stay strong, no matter what may pop out of the Rammstein magic hat next.
The constant element of the unknown is what keeps us at the edge of our seats (and our sanity, for that matter)... and it's also what makes this band a cut well above all the rest!
