Till, Retiring At 50? HA!!
...So I am thinking about this today, I seem to remember reading on one of the Rammstein forums that Till was thinking about opting for early retirement (age 50). I got a good laugh reading that - because even though his plans are probably well-thought out in advance, I really don't see that happening.
As a matter of fact, I don't see him retiring anytime before his 80th birthday!
Look - I'm being a little selfish, when I say I don't want him to retire, period. With him being a Capricorn, he likely 'mapped out' his life course well ahead of time, shortly after his career (with Rammstein) really took off. He probably planned on working his ass off for, say, 15 or 20 years; then after that, he would slink quietly away from the craziness of his demanding job and write books (or something) in peace.
Well I've got news for Herr Lindemann.
IT AIN'T GONNA HAPPEN.
SORRY!
I am sorry... but he means too much to too many people, and he is too rare of a specimen of a man to not be in the spotlight for at least 9/10ths of his life. Maybe when he's REALLY old (as in, resting on his deathbed), fans like me will finally give him some space... but I don't know, I think Till is going to join the ranks of Jack LaLane (the American fitness guru, a former Mr. Universe) and Iggy Pop (who still looks unbelievably youthful at around 60, I think). If he knows anything about his birthsign, Capricorns are at their best when they are being productive in their lives. An idle Capricorn often can fall into a slump, and sometimes they don't get back up.
You know... everybody's worried about aging, like it's this awful thing to be feared. Not so! I recently visited a 'Till' thread on one of the Rammstein forums, thinking 'This will probably be lame...' - boy was I ever wrong!! Those chicks on there talking about him - holy moley, talk about foaming at the mouth, these girls want him BAD :D! It's as though we are all 20 years younger than we actually are; the racy threads remind me of that chick in the LAB video, the one dressed in the parochial school outfit jumping up and down all night.
We feel the same way inside.
Till retiring at 50?
Good luck with that, man.
You'll need it.
