Indie, shorthand from independent, is coined to be a number of genres and subcultures to be independent from the commercial pop music and mainstream culture. For many of its artists Indie rock is unsigned or signed to independent record labels, rather than major record labels.

Finally Beck announced details of his new upcoming album, that indeed is called "Modern Guilt", and is being produced by DangerMouse. It will be released on July 7 in the UK and a day later in the US . This follow-up to his 2006 release "The Information" will be only 30 minutes long.

The coolest festival in the heart of the city will be held from 3rd through 6th July. Summertime, and London's Hyde Park plays host to 4 nights of incredible line-ups and cutting edge bands.
