Where is Pop music now?
Pop music has really declined in recent years. Is pop going out of fashion?
Have you noticed that pop music has really declined over the last couple of years? I am not talking about the quality of music, but the number of pop acts. We used to have the Spice Girls, Busted, Take That, East 17... the list goes on...
Is pop dead? What do you think and how is this affecting the music industry?

It's true though, pop has diverged significantly. Where as a few years back we could easily throw things at Britney, Christina, and the boy bands for being the pop of the era, it's a bit more obscure now.
I guess you could divide mainstream music into Hip-Hop influenced and Indie-pop these days.
People get real snobby about indie music, but it's just as formulaic and easy to grasp as pop has ever been.
