Lost Tunes

Universal Records have launched a new downloading service devoted exclusively to forgotten classics and rarities. The Lost Tunes website claims to hand pick "exclusives and hidden gems, bringing them to you as top-quality digital downloads". Among its first offerings are exclusives from the Walker Brothers Live in Japan album and a new collection of material from the La's.

The site will also specialise in the vaguely obscure, such as Sheffield post-punk band Comsat Angels and English blues band Nine Below Zero, while the stats rack up 500 exclusive download albums from all their subsidiary labels in the coming months.
